Slopes filled with grape vines, clear blue sky and a nice temperature. What more can you ask for?
A nice glass of wine of course. But if you are alone and have to drive its not a good idea to stop and taste several glasses. Plus the fact that I start singing after just one budweiser. So lets find a place to stay and then drink some wine.
Napa valley is also Napa prices. I knew that in advance. So I went to Tourist Information and asked for a place to stay in some nice scenery. Oak Knoll Inn was nice. The woman at the desk called for prices. They had a special deal for memorial day. 350 US dollars. Holy bananas. So I asked for the regular price. 575 US dollars for one night. With a smile on my face I asked if that was 'including the girl'.
I found a very nice Best Western for an affordable price. Balcony for drinking a nice glass of wine, fridge, microwave and a fast internet connection. At the front desk they asked if I had laptop and told me how to access it. Great service and it worked like a charm. I personaly believe we in Europe can learn something from that. Service is great in America.
This is gonna be my next stop. As a former mountain climber I love it. And it's not a walk in the park because it's 14,179-foot (4,322 m) high. But having a look at it from my hotel is gonna be very soothing indeed. Check it out at here.
