Long time no see. Biggest break ever. Spend a lot of time on twitter to my own surprise and there is work to be done and playing with rails in general, so that's the reason things were pretty quiet on this blog.
Chicago 2006, Portland 2007 & 2008 and now Vegas. Hmmmm. Not my pick. Hilton was great. Everything you need in one place, which makes it also concealed. My last visit to Vegas was 1993 and the strip was even more packed. Way to crowded.
The conference on it's own was good. Somes misses on keynote speakers but you can't please everybody. Not so many people as in Portland 2007 I must say. But still a lot of rails developers in one place. Wireless was pretty good but there were some peaks that couldn't handle the load. Had a great time but was also glad to leave and see some scenery after 4 days Vegas.
Didn't want to miss the opportunity to visit this in the Grand Canyon. Suspended 4,000ft/1,2 km above the Grand Canyon. Check it out at here.
If you are ever in the neighborhood don't miss out and go visit the place. There is also some great information about the Hualapai Tribe who run the site.
Let's get back to Chicago for Railsconf in 2010. You have land, water and a great city.
